the light spread across Metis and the castle reformed into an elegant marble castle; fountains sprung up from the paved ground and re-formed where they had crumbled. Rivers and waterfalls in the distance were surrounded by vegetation once more, and Mercury thought she could see bogs spontaneously growing off in the distance.
At one time, every planet in Sol had a holy land and Priest, just like Earth's Elysion and its guardian Helios. Each Holy Land had its own name, attributes, and Maenads who looked after it; and every land had its own flower, like Elysion's rose, that began to wither as the planets joined Queen Diana and left the Moons and Holy Lands to die. As the flowers withered, a darkened bloom appeared in the breast of each Priest, and they began to succumb to their cursed form--a creature emblematic of the three powers. If the planets had rejoined the Moons and the Holy Lands, they could have spared the Priests from wasting away from their consumption-like disease--sadly, such was not the case...
