Sailor Kuroi Mizu is Seisui, brainwashed and later corrupted by the Poison crystal. Seisui was only able to be brainwashed, however, because of the feelings of weakness already in her heart; her denial of her love for Erik vonDarkmoor, her simultaneous hatred and envy of Sailor Pinkmoon, and her chronically low self-esteem. Nemesis promises to erase her memories to make her life less painful, but many of her past issues still haunt her. Frequent contact with the Senshi and the strange effect The Crimson Eagle has on her brainwashing are no help to this problem. Eventually, corruption--the opposite of purification--is deemed necessary to make her loyal.
It could be argued, however, that Seisui's life on Nemesis is better than hers as a Moon Senshi. After all, she has the motherly love and companionship of Rhea, who looks after her like a little sister. She did not know that her friendship toward Rhea would come to haunt her later...
