Hikaru immigrates from Germany in pursuit of Rhe, her long-time enemy. At first, she is against both the Sailor Senshi and Nemesis; she is angered by Erik vonDarkmoor's betrayal of his family and code. The fickle nature of many of the Senshi and Priests is, in her mind, dishonorable.

However, many of her morals come into question as she begins to realize that rules can't solve everything; in the circumstances of any one given situation, the best choice can change. The changing of her point of view opens the way for new relationships between her and the other Sailor Senshi and Priests.
