Eros is the Priest of Aphrodite, the holy land of Venus. As a priest of the planet of love, Eros was raised to be a consummate lover and be able to woo both women and men. He was expected to spend the days of his childhood honing skills in any areas that would prove useful as a suitor and lover, knowing gardening, floral arranging, cooking, music, and swordsmanship. He was also expected to be skilled in the weapon of Venus, the bow and arrow.

As Eros grew older and developed into puberty, he was expected to begin the more practical aspect of his skills, and he began to casually court both men and women, spending time with whoever he saw fit. Eros' lovers failed to hold any real emotional interest for him, and he quickly became bored with his casual flings.

Around the age of 18, Eros was expected to seriously look for women to become his Maenads, and, more importantly, to find a woman to become his political partner in marriage. Although Eros was able to find several women to become his priestesses, he soon discovered that all of his prospective brides were interested in one of two things; his stunning appearance and skills as a lover, or his exalted political position. Eros, of all men, began to become bitter and disgusted with love while political pressure mounted on him to find someone to "settle down" with, at least politically if not sexually.

So wrapped up in the politics of love, Venus had forgotten the true feeling. Eros, depressed and sick of courting women who weren't interested in true love--only his place as a status symbol--lost himself in wine and debauchery.

At the back of his mind, however, one memory still nagged Eros. A woman, pale and lovely, who gave Eros a blood-red rose in his childhood....

Location:

Aphrodite, the holy land of Venus, looks like it is eternally sunset. All of the plant life is vibrant colors, primarily in warm end of the spectrum. Roses are especially common flowers.

Powers:

As a priest, Eros does not have the incredible power of a crystal at his disposal. However, his powers have considerably more pratical, everyday uses. Control of metal allows Eros to, through the use of prayer, create simple objects like pillars, chains, arches or domes out of metal. His control of love allows him to create feelings of romantic love in his targets.

Given more time to pray and concentrate, Eros can create more complicated talisman-like items with a variety of uses--including teleportation, temporary cosmetic transformation, communicators, and attack rods or weapons. Although these items usually work best for senshi associated with Venus (Sailor Venus, Sailor Eosphorus and Sailor Hesperus) they will work for other Senshi within Sol as well.
