King Endymion is a pillar of strength, despite whatever chaos is going on around him; or, at least, so he appears. In reality, the world of Crystal Tokyo--at least, the way he and Usagi envisioned it--is crumbling apart. A disturbing number of citizens are unhappy, despite his best efforts to help otherwise, and corrupt politicians manage to leak through the ever-widening cracks in his rulership. The wearing down reaches a climax with the arrival of the Moon Senshi.
